July Challenge 2 'water'

Write a haiku, tanka or senryu using 'water' in the broadest sense: from the rush of a river to the drip of a tap, from the hiss of hail to the swell of an ocean. Visiting writers of Japanese genre poetry are also welcome to post their work in the challenge.

July Haiku Challenge

Post your haiku on the subject of 'winter travel' or 'spring travel' using the comments area. Visiting haiku poets are welcome to add their haiku.

6 August meeting of Bindii

6 August: Part of the meeting will be a kukai. Please bring three of your own haiku. For those who haven’t participated in a kukai, the idea is to make the haiku anonymous by copying and then each member selects his/her favourite three to read out. Activities for the other part of the meeting might include a walk outside for a short while (weather permitting) to write and make notes and also workshopping at members’ request of other haiku/tanka/Renku etc. The meetings run from 10.30 am to 1 pm and are held at The Box Factory 59 Regent St South, Adelaide. If you are interested in writing Japanese genre poetry you are welcome to visit. We welcome new members.
