The first meeting for 2019 is scheduled for Saturday 2 February. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for details before coming to a meeting
Some of our favoured meeting activities include:
presentations about specific genres of Japanese poetry: from time to time we hold workshops dealing with haiku, tanka, haibun, haiga, rengay and renku.
workshop of members' work.
kukai: using a method of making the work anonymous by copying we then each share our favourite poems of those presented.
ginko: members walk in a selected venue (sometimes in a garden, or just take a walk in the streets during the meeting) to either take notes and photos or drawings which will lead to the composition of poetry.
